Most people see the Boat Race for a quarter of an hour, from a bridge. Studio 8 spent the day on Putney Embankment among the crews — the blades on the shingle, the coxes wired up and waiting, and the years of training that arrive in a single shared effort.

Action for Children's annual Spring Lunch brought a runway, a full room and a serious purpose to The Peninsula — hosted by Saira Khan, with a turn from Jo Elvin and a collection from Soma of London. Studio 8 was there to document the whole afternoon, from arrivals to the appeal.
