All of her
Bethany has been building DUAL Skincare for years. Between meetings, between the school run, between everything. These photographs are the moment she let herself be seen.
Surrey – February 2026
There's a version of Bethany who arrives in a black blazer, holds the product with quiet authority, and knows exactly what she wants to communicate. There's another who sits in a grey sweater at home, slightly mid-thought, product held lightly in her hand, looking at something just out of frame. And there's the one who throws her head back laughing by a window — entirely at ease, entirely herself.
These photographs contain all three.
DUAL Skincare is not a new idea. Bethany has been building it for years, around the edges of everything else — the business, the children, the particular mathematics of a life that is always adding up to more than twenty-four hours. The brand exists. It has won awards. The conviction is established. What she needed from this shoot was something a little different from a launch. She wanted to capture who she was and what she has been quietly building.
The many selves of a founder
The thing about photographing women who are building something while also holding everything else together is that they often arrive on set still carrying the morning. The drop-off. The inbox. The small negotiations that happen before nine o'clock and never make it into a business plan. And then, somewhere in the middle of a shoot, something releases.
That release is visible in these photographs. There is the careful, considered version of Bethany — thinking about the brand, about the product, about what all of this should communicate. And then there is the one who has forgotten she is being photographed and is simply, completely, present.
A woman building a brand from her own beliefs, while raising children and managing the full weight of a life in motion, carries a particular kind of strength. It tends not to announce itself. But the photographs can find it. Our job is simply to make space for it, and to be ready when it shows up.
“Every woman contains multitudes. The photographs just have to be paying attention.”
A brand refresh is not always about changing what something is. Sometimes it is about making sure the outside has finally caught up with the inside — that the images in the world do justice to the years of work that have been going on behind them.
For founders who have been quietly building, often invisibly, often alongside the competing demands of motherhood and everything else, the moment to step into the frame and let your brand be properly seen is not a small thing. Studio 8 understands that. We understand that it can feel exposed, and we know how to create a space where it doesn't feel that way for long.
Are you building something that deserves to be seen?
Let's make the photographs that show it.
